Joy Cioci F/W 2011

This season we had the pleasure to present Joy Cioci's debut collection at Lincoln Center. There was an incredible turn out and the space was filled with ohh's and aww's as everyone admired the statement jackets and event-worthy dresses. Not to mention that Twitter was all abuzz with compliments.

Congratulations Joy!

Oh, and did we mention that Miss Cioci was just named as a One-to-Watch by WWD?

Porter Grey Presentation

This past Saturday, Porter Grey held their first presentation at the Standard Hotel in the gorgeous High Line room. What has always been a beautiful collection was truly taken to the next level for their first official go at Fashion Week. Their breezy, long skirts and nautical stripes have made us reconsider our eagerness to switch over to our fall wardrobes.

Here are a few of our favorite looks that will surely end up on all of our personal orders.

Not only a favorite look, but also a favorite model. While most of the girls maintained their model composure, she danced her heart out to DJ Harley Viera Newton's 80's beats

I Want That

There's nothing like seeing something on an editor or celebrity and knowing that you'll never be able to find it because it's either vintage, from their Grandmother's wardrobe, or a massively expensive designer piece. While looking through some of Tommy Ton's brilliant pictures on Style.com, we stumbled upon Miroslava Mikeeva-Duma (one of our favorite Russian style icons) wearing an amazing necklace.

Today must have been our lucky day, because just minutes before we were stalking Atlantis Home, the amazing online vintage resource from Judy Aldrige, and you'll never guess what we found.

This amazing Gold Sea Creature necklace is a mere $186 and guaranteed to be one-of-a-kind this fall, what's not to like? Sometimes it pays to be a stalker.

Roll With It

Chloe Sevigny is always a favorite at the awards shows, but she shot to the top of our list Sunday night when she carried her Amanda Pearl satin roll clutch to HBO's post Emmy party. Maybe you're not in the mood to be a hot tomato, not to worry, Amanda offers these architectural gems in a rainbow of colors so you can buy one to suit your every mood.

Outfit We're Loving

With Fashion Week looming around the corner, our brain has turned to fall fashions and what we'll be wearing to the shows. Mother Nature decided to remind us that it's still summer by presenting us with a scorcher of a week. Fortunately, Refinery29 came in with some inspiration for one of our last heat waves. We love the chic simplicity of this look. What's even better is that we can pull items we already own from our own closets.



Take this Classic Henley from American Vintage; it's the ideal piece to wear during the 90 degree days that will easily transition into fall under a blazer or cardigan.



While we think the girl looks amazing in her cropped khakis, we can't help but feel like we're back in junior high in our Gap pants. We're throwing the outfit a curve ball by wearing Current/Elliott's Washed Black Captain Trouser.



Although long known for their ready-to-wear, the past few seasons Joie has been putting out some of our absolute favorite shoes. What's even better is that they're half the price of the shoes we're usually coveting at Bergdorf's and Barneys. The You're So Vain platform from Joie will give you height but is still remarkably comfortable when running around town.

Just in case the night is a little cool (or the AC is blasting in the restaurant), we'll be sure to throw on this great moto jacket from GAR-DE. This is the perfect jacket to transition summer pieces into the fall.


Hopefully it gets a little bit cooler so we can wear it for Fashion Week. There we go again...
